Knitting Witch

Entangling readers of all ages, marketed to those 7-10, this book shares the story of a witch that shows up one day to Ivy Lou’s house. Ivy has everything she would ever want…except for friends. When the witch shows up and knits magical playmates for the lonely girl, her parents decide to hire the witch. Soon after, Ivy Lou’s world shifts into the horrible landscape of the witch’s horrid hut. Humorously following the girls tantrums and attempts for the witch to discard her, readers will find out about Ivy’s efforts to unstitch this whole mess before it’s too late. This book is a little longer than your usual picture book, containing mostly many illustrations — some laid out next to pages of text, and some full-spread pretty illustrations inset with the text. Readers of Coraline will be able to experience a similar story — still stitched with no button-eyes.
